BEV - IMCD Acquires Tillmanns to Strengthen Industrial and Food Market Presence in Italy

IMCD, a global leader in the distribution and formulation of specialty chemicals and ingredients, has announced the acquisition of Tillmanns S.p.A., a long-established distributor headquartered in Milan, Italy.

Founded in 1940, Tillmanns is a trusted partner for premium specialty chemicals across sectors including coatings, construction, food & nutrition, and water treatment. With a workforce of 78 and 2024 revenues of €143 million, the company is recognized for its deep technical expertise and strong supplier relationships. Its operations include a modern logistics center and an in-house R&D lab offering custom formulations and advanced technical support.

This strategic acquisition allows IMCD to strengthen its Italian footprint by integrating Tillmanns’ local market knowledge with its global reach and digital capabilities. It also expands IMCD’s capabilities in high-growth segments, particularly in the food and industrial markets.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q4 2025. It follows IMCD’s recent expansion in Spain through the acquisition of TECOM Ingredients, reinforcing the company’s ongoing strategy to build a fully integrated, regional distribution network.
